First, about the converter - I'll have to do a separate thread - anyway - Stars has started putting "USD" after the limit in the top line - I assume they are doing this for al currency - the converter can't read it/ Just delete that before you hit "convert." Here's a .10/.20 donk hand of mine. I thought it would explain what I was saying before:

This is just standard. I raise because I think if Seat 3 has a brick he will flat call me. If he is bricking I also have the best hand, most likely. He does. I stick him on a Jack.

I would also have raised here, usually. I think my T6 s the best hand. He has, I think, at best, J6. But I still don't want him to fold.

So crap! I don't improve. I call for two reasons. One, I am never folding here to some stranger, because too many will always bet ehre with junk. Two, I want to see his hand!

Wow, paydirt! He was limping his monster hand. This is great. I am, to him, the MORAN who sucked out on him and was too stupid to fold! Notice how the 4th street raise paid off, though. He paired, he flat-called. He did have a brick - not the way I thought, but it will keep me in future hands with him when he does the same thing..

I limped a good hand right after this, he raised, I flatted, I kept betting, he didn't believe me and kept calling, I took a big pot, he left the table.

This is how it is supposed to work when I actually get a decent hand in the donkism mix!

I think I just got tired of how busy it was after two-tabling on two sites - one tournament - one cash - this is a standard issue from YUKU - it's hard to change the font size, I'd like it bigger. But right now I just like the simplicity of it.

Long story short, i nearly avoided all of those in the past, know it can be worth to enter a pot cheaply but mostly considered my hands to bring me into trouble later on, because they are rough, might be dead or opponents might limp just what they "should" complete. Getting deeper into here might require some examples, which i will look for. But made some trys and i would just say these hands were b*shit, and i made them with luck. These days are my experimenting ones anyway, just had fun with lag tournament play i never dared me to play before.

Good! Have fun - be a lag sometimes! Be a passive pete some other day - be both or neither in the same hand! Make 'e, crazy - keep 'em guessing. What you said here is a real issue with brick play. Some of them will always limp - they are afraid to put in any money until they see 5th. So then you get a table where everyone limps and then checks until someone makes a hand and they bet and everyone folds. UGH - not poker. About this: i made them with luck We pretty much make 'em all with luck. How many hands have you won - or lost - by one pip? All this "I'm a great player" stuff is just bullshit, IMO. We try and lose the least when we are losing (not my best thing) play smart and put ourselves in a position to get lucky (sometimes means playing marginal) and then wait for luck or someone else to play badly. We win because we screw up less or at least for not as long, and we pick good opportunities and there are a lot of horrible poker players out there.

limp and let's see (i propaly just could have stolen the pot right away) , two babies behind okay, but they flat, with a good 4th i can go along

I don't mind the limp, esp if you also limp big hands once in a while. About half the time in EP I complete-in with these. If I am going to play one, I want to be HU if possible or at least get the BI out. As well as have my opponent wonder if I have a hand or not. But I like the limp, too, because when you show one down like this, it makes them pay you off later when you do limp the big hand. It seems to me, when they have already limped in, they just all call, anyway if you complete in LP - so then you can't tell anything about their hands if they call, so I just limp behind usually.

and i get one, while Seat 5 (was playing not more than twenty hands before, we were always short, game was loose) catches good as well. Seat 4 folds as well as Seat 8 like i wanted, Seat 5 if bricking or pairing not unlikely is on a better draw than me but its 4th and he does not raise

In Super System 1, Brunson suggests in Razz that you "allow yourself to be trapped." That is, if they act weak, take them at their word and put them on a weak hand. For the most part, I agree. You do get caught sometimes, but you make up for it in the extra bets you get from the weak ones. A couple times recently I did a check/raise here in the same situation. I liked that because it usually got me a free card on 5th if I wanted it, which is when things start to get expensive. But if Seat 5 is passive and won't bet anyway - then you risk letting the two bricks get a free card. I've done it both ways.

OK - now - this is about the river - and here is where yu decide the river often. So, I think you are exactly right - I also think a lot of players, if they have a wheel draw here, would raise you. I say, stick him right on a T in the hole and just believe it.

6th Street - (4.60 BB)

I think checking is not the best option, and here's why. You've been saying all along you have a bighand. Now, when you could have the nuts, you check/call. So, you just told him you had a brick - just like you flipped your cards up. You have this fantastic 9, bet or check/raise, I say. I'm okay with just taking it down now. See, he might have paired that A, it's kind of likely, if you bet, he's drawing dead if he has that T or worse. And - it makes you doubt your read when he bets.

River - (6.60 BB)

So, if you check/raised 6th, and he didn't fold and didn't raise, then he had something like T745A on 6th. Some hand where he is drawing to a better hand than your 9. Which means you already knew that check/calling the river is your best option if you don't improve.

So, he was bluff-betting 6th, maybe hoping you's paired twice? I think if you had c/r there (yeah - harping on it a bit) he would have folded and you'd put yourself at less risk. I think pot control considerations at this limit in this game are the last things to worry about. Aggression protects your hand. I lost a hand tonight I could have won because I just kind of let it go on 6th. I'd have picked it up there with one bet, I think. As it was, she caught her miracle card on the river. Aggression protects our hands. I just lose focus sometimes.

I didn't play much today - there was no .10/.20 table when I did get time to play - but under the "can risk 20% of BR to take a shot" philosophy, I can sit at .25/.50 with $10.00. Or even $12-13! I did 10. But I reloaded about $2 mid session.


I played 128 hands in two hours, almost to the minute, at one table.
